๐ŸŽ‰ Join the Teen Volunteer Program at Your Library! ๐Ÿ“š

Are you 13โ€“18 years old and looking to earn volunteer hours, gain experience, and make a difference in your community?

The Teen Volunteer Program allows young people to support their local library while gaining community service hours, building their resume, and developing leadership and communication skills. Volunteers assist library staff with a variety of tasks. Volunteer shifts are flexible, often offered after school, on weekends, and during school breaks.

The program is a great way for teens to give back to the community, explore career interests (especially in education or library sciences), and make new friends in a welcoming environment.

Volunteer Tasks Include:
โœ” Shelving books & organizing materials
โœ” Helping with kidsโ€™ programs & crafts
โœ” Supporting summer reading activities
โœ” Creating social media content by taking photos and videos at library programs

๐Ÿ•’ Flexible after-school & weekend shifts
๐Ÿ—“ Great for community service hours & resumes

How to Join:
Fill out an application online. Orientation provided!

Be a part of something greatโ€”volunteer today!

The following opportunities are available at this time:

To get started, please fill out the Teen Volunteer Application. In your application, you’ll have the opportunity to let us know which roles you are interested in. You can absolutely volunteer in more than one role and at more than one time. Once the application has been completed we will contact you with a date for a library orientation.

Please note that we will respond to you as soon as possible. The library is closed Sundays and Mondays which can delay response if you complete the application on the weekend.

This program strives to prepare our virtual volunteers for their first job(s), as well as to promote local talents, bring enjoyment to library patrons and build positive relationships between youth and our community. We feel that the more responsibility that our volunteers have in successfully completing their tasks, the better prepared you will be when you apply for jobs and enter the workforce. When at all possible, it should be the volunteer themselves to call, email, organize and initiate! Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
