Our next Take & Make Kit is now available! Drop into the library to pick up a Valentines for Veterans Take and Make Kit to make some handmade Valentines cards for Veterans in long term care facilities throughout Canada (or make them for family and friends!) While supplies last.
As you may already know, the library acquired a Cricut Maker thanks to a very generous donation The hardest and most time consuming part of using a Cricut is learning how to use Cricut Design Space, which you can actually do from home! If you would like to learn how to use the Cricut and Cricut Design Space check out our Cricut Tutorial videos which will be posted on Fridays throughout February! The videos will be posted to our Facebook page, YouTube channel and here on our website under “About” >>> “Programs” >>> “Cricut Tutorials”
Thanks to a donation from the Stirling Rotary Club we have purchased 3 Leapfrog tablets for the children’s department! These come pre-loaded with math, science and reading apps and games and will be available to use within the library (not for borrowing). So the next time you bring the kids in, and they’re looking for something to do for a few minutes ask about these!
It’s Winter Break and your kids have started complaining … “I’m bored”… then drop into the library and pick up a Winter Break Activity Kit! Kits contain materials for several crafts, colouring sheets and a Boredom Bingo that is sure to keep them busy…for at least 5 minutes While supplies last.
If you picked up one of our Mini Art Show Take & Make Kits please return your completed mini masterpiece by this Friday, December 17th so we can put them on display in the library lobby throughout January and February!
