National Canadian Film Day: Wednesday, April 17th at 2pm

CanFilmDay is a massive, one-day coast-to-coast-to-coast celebration of Canadian cinema!

Join us on Wednesday, April 17th at 2pm at the Stirling-Rawdon Public Library for a showing of the 2020 film, Beans. Based on true events, Tracey Deer’s debut feature chronicles the 78-day standoff between two Mohawk communities and government forces in 1990 Quebec. The film is rated 14A. Houseplant Swap – Tuesday, April 30th at 6pm

Calling all plant enthusiasts! Join us at the Stirling-Rawdon Public Library on Tuesday, April 30th at 6pm for a Houseplant Swap!

Do you have indoor plants that you’d love to share? Then start getting those plants ready and join us to trade plants, tips and stories with other plant enthusiasts! Bring rooted plants in dirt or loose cuttings to swap for something new (to you).

How Do I Participate?

Bring one (or more) healthy plants. Use a clean container that you are okay giving away. If possible, label plants with their name. Please bring your own bags and/or containers to carry your new plants home. You are encouraged to bring a healthy and pest-free plant or cutting to swap, but it’s not required.

How Can I Share Cuttings?

Wrap each cutting in a wet paper towel and place in a Ziploc bag.
